Gotta say, I know little about boys :) I love my nephews and try to learn from them.

My 11 year old son is year of the dragon (he turns 12 in April) ... he is pretty lucky -- if a typical teenager right now (you know, like I'm not sure he's going to live through the year). My daughter & I are born in year of the tiger -- I don't "believe" in this stuff but do love to play around with it :) Happy birthday!!!

I'm so sorry you had such a tough day. I've suffered from migraines my whole life and understand what you were going through.

I'm also glad the cheese didn't make it worse- the enzymes can actually be a trigger for some people. Though for others protein helps. It sounds like you hadn't gotten one in a while, but if you get another (and I hope you don't) ask your doctor about some of the triptans or other meds available now. They have some fast-acting medications that are really lifesavers. Maxalt, relpax, imitrex, zomig are just some. Maxalt comes in a form that dissolves in your mouth in case you are not feeling well enough to eat. I guess what I am trying to say is that you don't have to suffer all day.

I hope you are feeling better and that you are migraine-free from here on out!

I,of course, recommend using a professional travel agent for planning that dream vacation! You save time, money and have an advocate if something does go wrong.

Thanks for leaving a post! Yes, my relationship is quite different than what a lot of woman say their own relationship is with their daughters. I'm hoping some of my writing will assist building understanding of how to cultivate a strong, great relationship with the readers own mother-daughter bond. From the tenuous teenage years to young adult.

That's beautiful! I love my daughter is creative too...especially since I'm not unless you include my career as a journalist. It's a mix of emotions watching the kids growing up. Mine are 12 and 10 and I'm constantly overwhelmed with pride and love and then sadness that it's going too fast!

There's definitely an adjustment period, a "mourning period" if you will, as your chicks leave the nest, but you will adjust, and reclaim those dreams you once had. You will never stop being an inspiration to your beautiful daughters - don't forget that they will be watching what you do with this phase of you life too, and gaining wisdom from how you handle this transition, just as they have from every other phase of your lives together! Be everything you wanted to be, so they will have the example to be everything they always dream of!
